What process is used for the carbon fiber kit adopted by the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra? Is it an optional scheme?
Over 90% of the carbon fiber kits on the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra use autoclave molding technology, commonly known as "dry carbon." Autoclave molding is the most expensive forming method for producing carbon fiber products, widely used in aerospace fields such as structural components for satellites, rockets, and other aircraft. Its advantages include higher strength, higher stiffness, and lighter weight, along with stable and reliable forming processes and excellent mechanical properties of the products. However, the cost is very high.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra uses a total of 17 carbon fiber parts inside and outside the vehicle, with a total usage area of up to 3.74 square meters, satisfying both excellent mechanical performance requirements and design aesthetics. We will also share our complete configuration scheme with everyone when the vehicle finally goes on sale.
