The Xiaomi SU7 not only offers a rich color palette but also boasts excellent anti-oxidation and anti-aging performance. The paint will not show significant degradation even when parked outdoors for long periods; we are very confident in our leading performance within the industry. However, compared to indoor garages, complex factors in outdoor environments such as temperature and humidity fluctuations, dust, sand, and animal feces can still affect the gloss and lifespan of the paint.
Specifically, the Xiaomi SU7 adopts an industry-leading 3C2B coating process, consisting of eight layers of coating. The added intermediate coating process not only makes the paint film thicker and improves visual effects but also increases the UV isolation rate from 99% to approximately 99.9%, thereby better protecting the electrophoretic paint.
In addition, under the premise of the eight-layer painting process, Xiaomi uses advanced Dürr 7-axis spraying robots. The atomizer cup speed can reach 70,000 rpm, providing superior atomization that results in higher paint film flatness. It also features self-developed intermediate coating grinding robots using 800-grit sandpaper to grind off 3-5μm of paint layer, further effectively improving surface flatness and achieving outstanding color and gloss performance under different lighting conditions.
