Since the Xiaomi YU7 was first unveiled last December until its official launch today, how much road testing has been conducted in total?
In fact, we started the whole-vehicle testing work for the Xiaomi YU7 as early as the beginning of 2024. As of now, the road testing for the Xiaomi YU7 has lasted 541 days, covering 296 cities, with actual road mileage exceeding 6.49 million kilometers.
During this time, our engineers drove Xiaomi YU7 test cars through Turpan at 53 degrees Celsius, Heihe at minus 41 degrees Celsius, and even reached Ngari, Tibet, at an altitude of 5,380 meters. From busy city centers to uninhabited areas, from high-temperature zones and cold zones to plateau regions, the Xiaomi YU7 withstood durability tests in different temperatures, altitudes, snow mountains, deserts, and other harsh environments. Meanwhile, as an SUV, the Xiaomi YU7 fully verified its passability under complex road conditions and severe weather during road testing.
The Xiaomi EV team has always insisted on conducting extensive real-road testing. Although laboratory simulations can assist in testing, they cannot replace the comprehensive verification provided by real roads. Therefore, we invest heavily in road testing; compared to industry standards, the number of test vehicles, mileage, and intensity used by Xiaomi are significantly higher.
