Rumors suggest that Xiao Ai can be voice-woken from outside the car to unlock windows. Is this issue still present?
We have currently implemented strict voice control permission policies in Xiaomi HyperOS version 1.2.2. Specifically, when the vehicle is in Park (P) gear and the central door locks are engaged, voice commands to open windows, the front trunk, or the rear trunk will be disabled. In real-world usage scenarios, if you park inside the vehicle and lock all four doors, malicious voice controls from outside the vehicle will not be able to open the windows.
To further optimize this experience, we will also introduce an "External Wake-up Defense" feature based on Xiaomi's self-developed large sound model capabilities, which can directly block voice wake-ups originating from outside the vehicle. When active, the suppression rate for attacks involving malicious external voice control of windows, front trunk, or rear trunk will reach up to 99%.
Please note: The "External Wake-up Defense" feature will automatically take effect when the vehicle is in P gear and all four doors and windows are fully closed; no additional settings are required. This feature is expected to be available via OTA upgrade in August, subject to the actual push time.
