What are the important precautions when using Xiaomi SU7's automatic parking?
When the vehicle speed is below 15 km/h, the entry icon for the Intelligent Parking Assist function will appear in the bottom-left corner of the smart driving card on the central control screen:
Step 1: Click the Intelligent Parking entry icon;
Step 2: Maintain manual driving until you find an empty parking space, then press the brake pedal;
Step 3: Select the desired empty parking space on the central control screen;
Step 4: After clicking the "Start Parking" button, follow the prompts to release the brake and steering wheel. Upon hearing "Parking started, please pay attention to surrounding safety," it indicates that the system has begun controlling the vehicle;
Step 5: The system completes the parking maneuver and automatically shifts into Park (P) gear.
If you encounter the following scenarios, please observe the vehicle's surroundings carefully and take over control promptly if necessary:
Parking spaces with suspended obstacles nearby, such as suspended fire boxes/fire hydrants, pipes, air conditioning outdoor units, barrier gate arms, open car doors, etc.;
Low-light environments, including outdoor scenes at night without streetlights or with dim lighting, indoor parking lots with insufficient illumination, etc.;
High wheel stop positions; due to SU7's low chassis, exercise caution when parking;
Irregular curb scenarios, such as bent curbs, steps at the bottom of parking spaces, etc.;
Scenarios with irregular obstacles nearby, such as low stone bollards, ground protrusions, bushes, dirt/snow/garbage piles, thin poles, wall protrusions, tree trunks/pillars in grass, raised edges of flower beds, etc.;
Parking spaces with depressions on the ground, such as tree pits, dirt pits, ditches, downward steps, etc.;
Parking spaces near highly transparent glass walls or glass doors;
Please note:
Assisted driving functions such as Intelligent Parking Assist cannot completely replace the driver's visual inspection. The driver remains the primary operator and is responsible for the vehicle's behavior during driving. Drivers can view specific information through the "Smart Driving Academy" in the Xiaomi Auto APP or the user manual.
Some owners who recently received new cars tie red silk ribbons to the exterior rearview mirrors or paste "Novice Driver" stickers on the body radar sensors. A friendly reminder: Blocking vehicle sensors (cameras or radars) will affect the safety of assisted driving. It is recommended that drivers check the status of sensors before using assisted driving functions.
