Recently, Xiaomi SU7 added a system prompt sound for 'excessive speed'. Is this a newly updated feature?

Official answer

In the recently pushed Xiaomi HyperOS 1.4.3 version, the 'Excessive Speed Reminder' function has been added. The purpose of this function is to further strengthen speed limit reminders on public roads to reduce accidents. When you hear the voice prompt indicating excessive speed, it means your current driving speed far exceeds the maximum speed limit for public roads stipulated by the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Road Traffic Law).

The 'Excessive Speed Reminder' function will be enabled by default every time the vehicle starts. If you need to disable the function in special situations, you can temporarily turn it off in Settings - Driving Preferences - Driving Safety. At that time, speed reminders will no longer be issued during this vehicle usage cycle.

It is worth noting that this function only includes audio, visual, and voice reminders; it does not impose power restrictions, so it will not affect the vehicle's performance under conditions such as emergency avoidance. Additionally, when Master Mode or Drift Mode is enabled, the 'Excessive Speed Reminder' will automatically stop working to avoid disturbing your track experience.

Friendly reminder: Roads are not tracks. Please always abide by the Road Traffic Law, pay attention to road conditions, control speed, and ensure driving safety during daily driving. Do not drive aggressively on public roads.
