How many cameras are inside the Xiaomi SU7, and what are they used for?
There is one camera located between the steering wheel and the instrument screen used to monitor the driver's status. When the system detects behaviors such as closing eyes, turning the head, yawning, or using a mobile phone for calls—indicating fatigue or distraction—it will remind the driver to drive safely via voice announcements and pop-up windows on the central control screen.
This system performs behavior judgment and reminders solely on the vehicle's local hardware. Image data is not recorded or transmitted externally, fully protecting user privacy and security.
If you do not need the driver fatigue/distraction reminder function, you can disable it in the "Settings - Driving Preferences" menu on the central control screen. You can also directly disable the camera through the permission management settings on the vehicle's infotainment system.
Additionally, the Xiaomi SU7 provides a "One-Touch Privacy" feature. When you press the "One-Touch Privacy" button on the ceiling of the car, all external cameras and LiDAR sensors will be turned off to prevent the vehicle from collecting information outside the car.
