When charging at an AC home charging pile, the charging gun seems to be locked. What is going on?
When the charging gun is accidentally locked, it may be because charging has not ended or the vehicle is not unlocked. Please first check if the vehicle has finished charging, and after unlocking the vehicle, check if the charging gun can be pulled out. Normally, when the vehicle is fully charged or reaches the charging limit, charging will stop automatically; you can also end charging early via the infotainment screen or remote control through the Xiaomi EV App.
If it still cannot be resolved, you can also use the emergency release cable to unlock it. The specific location of the Xiaomi YU7 emergency release cable is on the left side of the trunk (as shown in the figure below), and pulling it will unlock the charging gun. But please note that this unlocking method is only applicable in emergencies, and frequent use may damage the charging gun emergency release cable or the charging equipment.
To make your travel safer, we also need to remind you that it is strictly forbidden to pull out the charging gun directly during charging. This may cause damage to the charging port or pose a risk of electric shock. We recommend that you safely complete the charging operation according to the standard procedures in the user manual.
