What special safety considerations were made for the 220V power interface inside the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max?
The in-car 220V power interface is a feature that is frequently used but also involves electrical safety, so we implemented multiple layers of protection in its design.
First, the power interface itself comes with a physical cover to prevent fingers or metal objects from directly contacting the internal live components. This makes it less likely for children to accidentally touch it, ensuring safer use.
Second, a micro switch is added inside the interface to detect whether an electrical device is truly plugged in. That is, the 220V power is connected only when the power plug is inserted, and it automatically cuts off when unplugged. This ensures that the power interface is not continuously live when not in use, reducing the potential risk of arcing during plugging and unplugging.
In addition, the power interface has overcurrent protection. It is designed with a rating of 220V/10A, and the power will be cut off promptly if the current exceeds the load range.
To use the in-car 220V power interface, you need to enable the "In-car Power Socket" switch in "Settings" - "Charging and Discharging" on the central control screen (the switch also displays real-time power consumption). With this switch enabled, thanks to the inclusion of the micro switch, devices are powered on when plugged in and powered off when unplugged in daily use, without needing to return to the central control screen to turn off the switch after each use.
We aim to make the in-car 220V power interface both convenient and comprehensive in addressing potential electrical risks encountered in daily use.
