What is the folded mat placed in the trunk of the N90 Max Explorer Edition used for?
This is a folded foam mattress used to level the front section of the second-floor bed board when the Explorer Edition's roof is raised. It comes pre-installed in the trunk from the factory.
The reason this folded foam mattress was designed is that the second-floor bed board is divided into front and rear sections, with the front section being pull-out style to make it easier for users to access the second floor. When the front section is closed, laying down this folded foam mattress creates a perfectly flat surface with the rear bed section, providing greater comfort.
However, please note that after lowering the roof, the rear foam mattress can remain stored on the second floor long-term. But because the original design compresses the roof cabin thickness to its absolute limit, there is no remaining space inside the roof cabin to store the front folded foam mattress. Therefore, it needs to be packed up and placed in the vehicle's trunk before lowering the roof.
To make storage convenient, we designed it with a folding structure. Once folded, its size is roughly comparable to a short-trip handbag. We also included a dedicated storage bag for it—simply fold it up, put it in the bag, and place it in the trunk without worrying about it getting dirty.
