The Xiaomi SU7 Max has an 800V voltage platform. Can it be downward compatible with some older 500V fast-charging piles?

Official answer

The Xiaomi SU7 Max adopts a "Super 800V" platform with a peak voltage of 871V. It is equipped with an onboard booster that can increase the voltage of the charging pile to charge the power battery, ensuring it can charge on charging piles with maximum voltages of 500V and 750V, so there is no need to worry about downward compatibility issues.

Regarding charging compatibility, the Xiaomi SU7 has cumulatively tested over 2,000 different models of public charging piles from 148 brands, totaling 18,900 piles, including many mainstream third-party 500V piles currently in use. It has also been tested and verified by three third-party institutions, achieving a charging compatibility rate of over 99%, which leads the industry in publicly disclosed information.
