Why might I encounter issues when charging using another brand's home charging pile?
Due to different default permission settings across various brands of home charging piles, some may only allow specific brand models or use whitelist authorization mechanisms, which could prevent normal charging for the Xiaomi SU7. Before using other brands' home charging piles, Xiaomi SU7 users should ensure that charging permissions are enabled at the pile. For specific permission setting methods, please refer to the user manual of the corresponding brand's pile or contact their customer service for detailed tutorials.
For example, with the Tesla Gen 3 Home Charger, you need to change the access control from "Tesla Only" to "All Vehicles" to charge the Xiaomi SU7. The steps to modify the initial setup program are as follows:
Press and hold the charging handle button for 5 seconds until the charging pile indicator light shows a green breathing flash;
Turn on WiFi on your phone and find the network named “TeslaWallConnector_XXX”;
Enter the WiFi password to connect. Note that each Tesla Gen 3 Home Charger package includes a "Quick Start Guide," and the embedded WPA2 12-character alphanumeric string is the password;
After connecting, open a browser on your phone and enter 192.168.92.1 to jump to the settings interface;
Click on the Access Control section and select "All Vehicles" to complete the setup.
