Recently, some bloggers showed a collision test of the Xiaomi SU7. Is the result true?
We have noticed the relevant information. After analysis, we believe this so-called "test" had loose settings, incomplete records, and unscientific conclusions.
We hereby report our findings from the preliminary analysis:
First, the claim that "E-CALL (Automatic Emergency Calling System) failed after the collision" is untrue. Upon investigation, the call center called and connected immediately after the collision, and continuous backend calls lasted for 5 minutes without receiving any feedback; subsequently, five callback attempts were made to the registered phone number of the owner, none of which were answered.
Second, regarding the concern about "the small battery being disconnected," data from the national monitoring platform shows: prior to the collision, the vehicle's data was offline for a long time, indicating a prolonged disconnection of the small battery; afterwards, the small battery was reconnected. At the time of the collision, data from the national monitoring platform was missing, and the small battery was already in a disconnected state.
We cannot confirm whether the electrodes were tightened according to standards when the small battery was reconnected during this process, nor can we rule out the possibility of the small battery disconnecting after the collision due to improper assembly.
Third, during the development of the Xiaomi SU7, rigorous collision tests have already been conducted, showing no safety hazards, and the issues described in the video did not occur.
We have full confidence in the product quality of the Xiaomi SU7. We also appeal to everyone: Vehicle crash testing is a complex, rigorous, and exceptionally serious procedure that should be entrusted to professional institutions. Meanwhile, for tests that are not rigorous, complete, or serious, we earnestly request that you do not accept or spread them. Thank you for your attention and support!
