What are the differences between the various driving modes of the Xiaomi YU7? Which one is easier for beginners?

Official answer

The Xiaomi YU7 supports up to 5 main driving modes and 5 scene modes, allowing adjustment of parameters such as power response, steering feel, and suspension stiffness/height to meet the driving habits and scenarios of different users.

For most users, we recommend the following 5 main driving modes, which allow you to easily switch between 5 different "personalities" of the Xiaomi YU7 with one touch:

Comfort: If you prioritize ride comfort, choose the Comfort driving mode. In this mode, the power output is equivalent to that of a 3.0T luxury SUV. The power response is gentle and easy to control, the steering feel is light, and the suspension is soft, providing a softer, more comfortable, and reassuring driving experience for both driver and passengers during daily commuting, while also considering energy efficiency.

Sport: If you want to balance sportiness and comfort, switch to the Sport driving mode. In this mode, the power output reaches the level of a 4.0T high-performance sports car, fully meeting fast-paced driving needs while ensuring daily driving comfort.

Sport+: If you prefer a purer driving experience, the Sport+ driving mode unlocks stronger power. In this mode, when you press the Boost button, the YU7 Max accelerates from 0-100km/h in as little as 3.23 seconds; simultaneously, the vehicle's suspension height lowers and becomes the firmest, enhancing cornering performance; in this mode, the intervention degree of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is reduced, giving the driver greater control freedom, but it requires high driving skills. We strongly advise against using this driving mode on slippery roads.

Economy: If you currently want longer range, use the Economy driving mode. This is the default preset mode for Personalization M1, with power calibrated for low energy consumption. In this mode, the power output is 374PS, providing sufficient power while maximizing your range.

New Driver: If you recently got your license, try the New Driver mode as a transition. This is the default preset option for Personalization M2. This mode aims to reduce the difficulty for new drivers or owners, adjusting the power output to 210PS, equivalent to the power level of a 2.0L-2.5L naturally aspirated SUV, minimizing driving difficulty to help you quickly adapt to and get started with your new Xiaomi YU7.

Additionally, for typical usage scenarios such as low battery, motion sickness, snow and slippery roads, and light off-roading, we have developed scene modes such as Super Energy Saving, Motion Sickness Relief Mode, Snow Mode, and Off-road Assist. You can select them as needed.
