The Xiaomi YU7 has so many driving modes. How should I correctly use them during long-distance travel?
Official answer
The Xiaomi YU7 supports up to 5 main driving modes and 4 special scenario modes. You can quickly switch between them using the driving mode knob on the steering wheel and select according to actual driving conditions:
When driving on highways, national roads, or relatively bumpy roads, you can use "Comfort Mode". In this mode, power response is gentle, steering feel is light, and the suspension is soft, providing a more comfortable and reassuring driving/passenger experience for the whole family, while also considering energy efficiency. When you need to overtake or merge onto expressways, the vehicle also has sufficient power reserve.
When your journey is long and you wish to minimize the number of recharges, you can switch to "Eco Mode". This is the default preset mode for personalized M1, with power calibrated for low energy consumption. This mode aims to provide longer range while maintaining sufficient power.
In addition, we offer various "Special Scenario Modes" for certain specific scenarios:
When traveling long distances with family, we recommend trying "Motion Sickness Relief Mode". We collaborated with Beijing Tongren Hospital and Shanghai Huashan Hospital to optimize the driving feel of the Xiaomi YU7, achieving "smooth acceleration, silky cruising, gentle deceleration, and no 'boat-like' feeling" to reduce the incidence of motion sickness.
When encountering rain or snow weather, you can switch to "Snow Mode". This mode is specially tuned for slippery surfaces like snow, adjusting the energy recovery intensity for low-adhesion roads to reduce the risk of drive wheels slipping and causing vehicle instability during acceleration/deceleration. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi YU7 Pro/Max will adopt a more stable four-wheel drive distribution strategy to achieve a safer driving experience.
When the vehicle's battery level is low, "Super Power Saving Mode1" will run the vehicle in the most energy-efficient state. Compared to Eco Mode, Super Power Saving Mode further reduces power output, disables driving assistance and parking assistance functions, and limits air conditioning, seat heating, entertainment, and other functions. It also lowers the chassis height to achieve maximum range.
If you want to go for light off-roading in the suburbs or enter complex unpaved roads, the Xiaomi YU7 Max also features "Off-Road Assistance Mode." This mode improves rough road passability and comfort by adjusting suspension height (maximum ground clearance 222mm), optimizing front/rear power distribution, and modifying the electronic stability system's operation.
If you have customization needs for driving modes, we strongly recommend trying "M1/M2 Custom" driving modes. We provide ample freedom for you to "tailor-make" your driving style—by adjusting parameters such as power response, steering feel, suspension performance, and suspension height to set your preferred driving mode.
