Xiaomi Titan Alloy is the alloy material used for Xiaomi's mega-cast components. Xiaomi's in-house materials R&D team works closely with a national-level key materials laboratory. Combined with an AI simulation system, they ultimately screened and selected an alloy material that meets the requirements from 10.16 million formulas.
Xiaomi Titan Alloy is a high-strength, high-toughness, heat-treatment-free, and eco-friendly die-casting material, which is an aluminum alloy incorporating rare earth elements. The area of Xiaomi EV's die-cast parts is 17% larger than Tesla's. During the initial design phase of our self-developed material, we defined three core indicators for the alloy: large size, long flow, and lightweight. It needs to satisfy multiple material properties, including easy formability, high strength, crack resistance, and environmental friendliness.
Titan Alloy is also applied to Xiaomi's integrated die-cast rear floor. Paired with the rear floor's three-stage crash design, in typical low-to-medium speed collisions, only the crash beam and crumple zone need to be replaced, without replacing the rear floor, ensuring repair economy. In the event of an ultra-high-speed collision, the integrated mega-cast rear floor serves as the core protection zone for the passenger cabin, leveraging its ultra-high strength advantage to protect the safety of the passenger cabin.
