I saw in the livestream that most of the first batch of GTs chose Cherry Red. Is the process for this color complex?
The inspiration for the Xiaomi YU7 Cherry Red color comes from the natural hue of high-altitude cherries, featuring a naturally flowing, translucent layering of light and dark. At the process level, nano-level red paste pigment is used as the base, combined with specially formulated red colored aluminum powder to build a directional optical layer, allowing light to produce a delicate and restrained metallic luster on the car body surface. A highly transparent red clear coat is then overlaid on the paint surface to form a dual red structure, achieving a color growth effect from the inside out and establishing a deep and pure red tone. Under light and shadow, the paint can present a light-to-dark gradient depending on the angle of the light, with clear layers and outstanding three-dimensionality. The dynamic visual effect is as if the color is slowly unfolding and growing in the light and shadow.
