Why was Yancheng chosen for this live broadcast test?
The Yancheng Proving Ground is the largest automotive proving ground in Asia and one of the most advanced automotive test tracks in the world. Covering over 10,000 mu, it boasts more than 110 kilometers of professional test roads, capable of meeting full-scenario testing needs such as high-speed, handling, and simulated rain and fog. Choosing this location for the live broadcast is mainly based on three points:
First, the road types are comprehensive enough. The proving ground features 25 characteristic road surfaces, covering dozens of working conditions including Belgian block roads, railway crossings, potholed roads, and impact roads. A single reinforced durability road of about 9 kilometers can simulate 95% of the harsh road conditions nationwide.
Second, the professional tracks are robust enough. It includes the T10 dry handling track compliant with FIA F4 standards, the T12 wet handling track with a precision spray system, and professional tracks like the T7 high-speed oval, which can fully cover the verification needs for extreme working conditions such as top speed testing, emergency braking, and cornering handling.
Third, the data is authentic and traceable. Professional data acquisition equipment such as VBOX was used throughout the live broadcast, paired with multi-camera footage presentation, ensuring the test data is open, transparent, authentic, and verifiable.
