How does the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max achieve a completely flat floor from the first row to the third row?

Official answer

The Xiaomi Pengcheng series relies on the Xiaomi Kunlun platform to deeply integrate the structural components beneath the floor, creating a completely flat floor that extends from the first row to the third row.

In traditional large-space three-row SUVs, the third-row seats are basically installed on steps, and many second-row seats are also installed on steps. The biggest highlight of the Xiaomi Pengcheng solution is the complete elimination of the raised steps under the feet of the second and third rows, while also taking into account key attributes such as SUV ground clearance, large battery capacity, large fuel tank, collision safety, and body torsional rigidity and strength. Let's discuss the three core technical points below:

Highly integrated coaxial rear electric drive: The rear electric drive adopts a highly integrated coaxial electric drive, with the electronic control system placed in front, reducing the floor thickness at the electric drive location by 145mm, thereby leveling the third-row floor step.

Flat battery pack design: The battery pack control module has been moved from the top to the front and rear sections, reducing the floor thickness by 180mm, which also allows the second-row floor to be leveled.

Extra-large fuel tank: Furthermore, we did not sacrifice fuel tank volume. A 60L extra-large fuel tank is arranged between the battery and the electric drive, making full use of the space.

Ultimately, the rear floor thickness is only 298mm, reduced by up to 200mm compared to SUVs of the same size. Paired with a 2.9-meter-long flat floor and a floor angle of only 2.95°, it delivers an ultimate sense of cabin openness and a flat spatial experience.
