What are the unique features of the Xiaomi Pengcheng's door design, and why are the rear doors designed to open to nearly 90 degrees?
All models in the Xiaomi Pengcheng lineup feature rear doors that can open to nearly 90 degrees, a rarity in their class. The larger door opening provides a more relaxed entry and exit experience. Families with children no longer need to worry about bumps when installing or removing child safety seats; elderly passengers find it easier to get in and out; and large items can be loaded directly into the vehicle. Of course, when parked by the seaside, the wide-open doors allow you to enjoy the sea breeze. To achieve this near-90-degree opening experience, we focused on three key areas:
Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max offers optional intelligent power doors for all four doors, providing six ways to open and seven ways to close them. Inside the vehicle, you can operate the doors using the interior door handle, independent buttons on the second-row ceiling, the central control screen, or Xiao Ai voice assistant. The driver's door can also be closed by pressing the brake pedal. Outside the vehicle, you can use buttons on the exterior door handles or voice commands. This is highly practical in situations where your hands are occupied, such as when holding a child or carrying items.
At the same time, the power doors are equipped with door-opening collision warnings and obstacle avoidance features. By fusing data from nine cameras, four door-mounted millimeter-wave radars, and one forward-facing LiDAR sensor, the system supports forward and rearward door-opening warnings and obstacle avoidance. For example, if an electric scooter passes by, the door will automatically stop; if a pedestrian is detected, the door will pause and resume opening only after the person has passed.
