How do I use the newly updated mechanical parking space parking feature? What are the precautions?
Parking in mechanical spaces is more difficult than in regular parking spaces. The core challenge comes from the fact that the width of the slot in a mechanical space may be only 2.05 meters, leaving only 0.05 meters of adjustment room on each side. Secondly, the challenge comes from the I-beam steel pillar in front of the space entrance. The I-beam steel pillar is a fixed support in front of the mechanical space entrance. During parking, the distance between the I-beam and the vehicle body is very close. With the side mirrors folded, there is only about 10cm of space for the owner to make fine adjustments. This means that the precision requirements for the vehicle's automatic parking have been pushed to a new height.
Usage method for mechanical space parking:
First, when the vehicle speed is below 15km/h, a parking entrance will be displayed on the central control screen. Click the Smart Parking button on the screen to enter the Smart Parking Assist function. Please note that if the vehicle is equipped with an active rear wing, please lower the wing before experiencing this function to avoid parking failure caused by the wing blocking the camera's field of view.
When the system detects a parking space, the space in the parking interface will be highlighted in blue, with a text prompt "Please hold the brake first if you wish to park", to avoid rolling or scraping accidents caused by releasing the brake too early.
When the driver presses the brake pedal, click or confirm the desired parking space on the central control screen, then click the Start Parking button on the central control screen. Only after the system prompts "Parking started, please pay attention to the safety of the surrounding environment" can you release the brake pedal and steering wheel, and the system will help you park the vehicle into the space.
After the vehicle is parked into the space, the vehicle will automatically shift into P gear and engage the parking brake. Parking is complete, and the central control screen will remind you that parking is complete and automatically exit the parking interface.
Due to the extremely narrow space of mechanical parking spaces, parking difficulty is high. Please pay attention to the following matters during use:
For Xiaomi SU7 Pro and Xiaomi SU7 Max versions, before starting to park, check whether the rear wing is lowered; otherwise, parking failure may occur because the wing blocks the camera's field of view.
During the parking process, you need to closely observe surrounding obstacles and must not rely solely on the system function. If there is potential risk, please take over in time via braking, etc., to ensure vehicle safety and avoid collisions between the vehicle and obstacles or scraping accidents between vehicles. Obstacles that require your close observation include but are not limited to: thin pillars, metal chains, and pallet edges.
After parking in a mechanical space, note that there is a risk of the vehicle rolling on the pallet, and ensure that there is no collision risk between the vehicle's front end and the top beam after the pallet rises.
