Does the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype's Nürburgring time of 6 minutes 46.874 seconds meet expectations?
On July 19 this year, Xiaomi Auto first announced that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype would officially challenge the Nürburgring in October. In fact, Xiaomi Auto had already booked full-day access to the Nürburgring on October 9th and 10th earlier this year for lap time challenges.
However, due to continuous rainfall on October 9th and 10th, we were forced to abandon the challenge. Later, on October 17th, we coordinated again with Nürburgring officials for i-Pool time slots, but failed to test successfully again due to heavy rain. Subsequently, on October 21st and 24th, we hoped to secure testing windows, but were unsuccessful.
It wasn't until 11:00 AM local time on October 28th that we began scouting the track, followed by loading tires and conducting adjustments. Finally, at 11:50 AM local time, we officially started, crossing the finish line with a time of 6 minutes 46.874 seconds, achieving the fastest four-door car lap time at the Nürburgring. Official confirmation from the Nürburgring was also completed on that day.
The day before the official unveiling of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production version, we completed a challenge akin to a miracle, and we, along with everyone following Xiaomi Auto, were equally excited. During this challenge, despite the track surface still being damp and having only one lap opportunity, we achieved a time of 6 minutes 46.874 seconds. We will continue to initiate challenges in the hope of achieving better results.
