There are so many Nürburgring lap time leaderboards. Why did Xiaomi only state that the SU7 Ultra Prototype is the fastest four-door car?
Nürburgring refers to the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, commonly abbreviated as 'Nürburgring'. Starting from 2019, Nürburgring began recording official lap time leaderboards, documenting models that completed laps on the certified 20.832 km track. The official leaderboard categories include internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid models, as well as pure electric models, divided into 11 sub-categories.
To date, there are 20 four-door cars on the official Nürburgring leaderboard, with the fastest record for four-door cars being 7′07″550.
According to public information, all previous valid Nürburgring test records show that the fastest record for four-door prototypes/production cars is 6′57″578.
Xiaomi Auto's initial goal was to compete at the Nürburgring based on a four-door car, hoping that through continuous training in the harsh environment of the track, more leading technologies would eventually be applied to production cars in the future. And to achieve the goal of becoming the fastest four-door electric car at the Nürburgring within ten years.
Based on our goal of building a four-door car, the Nürburgring certified lap time for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype is 6′46″874. Whether looking at the official Nürburgring leaderboard or public information records, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype is the fastest four-door car in Nürburgring history, regardless of whether it is a production car or a prototype.
