Are the carbon ceramic brake discs, calipers, and brake pads of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra officially customized? Can they be purchased from third parties?
The track edition braking system of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is specially customized by Xiaomi with three different partners. The extra-large size carbon ceramic brake discs are provided by Jinbo Shares, a leading domestic supplier of carbon-based composite materials; the high-performance brake calipers with six pistons at the front and four at the rear also come from the famous international brand Akebono®️, which is a supplier specializing in high-performance braking systems; and the brake pads are provided by the top brand ENDLESS®️, which is frequently active on race tracks (optional).
To meet the high braking performance requirements of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, our engineers found the above three industry-leading partners to jointly create a super high-performance track edition braking system. It not only has extremely strong braking force but also heat fade resistance suitable for continuous high-intensity track driving, enabling the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra's 100-0km/h braking distance to be only 30.8m, with no fade over 10 consecutive 180-0km/h brakes.
During the development process, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra underwent long-term and strict testing and tuning of the braking system, including low-temperature testing, high-temperature testing, and track testing at the Nürburgring, ensuring the safety and stability of the braking system and allowing users to go directly onto the track without factory modifications.
