How should coilover dampers be adjusted? Do I need to lift the car to adjust them?

When adjusting the damping of the coilover damper, there is no need to lift the vehicle; the front wheel dampers can be adjusted via knobs exposed on the strut tower, and the rear wheel dampers can be adjusted via knobs located within the wheel arch; when adjusting the ride height of the coilover damper, the vehicle needs to be lifted, the tires removed, the spring compression of the damper adjusted, and then the tires reinstalled.
