How many cameras and radars are there in total on the Xiaomi YU7?

Official answer

The Xiaomi YU7 is fully equipped with 1 LiDAR, 1 4D mmWave radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars across all trims, delivering enhanced performance for Xiaomi's advanced driver assistance features.

All Xiaomi YU7 models come standard with a LiDAR, providing more accurate perception in low-light environments and when identifying irregular obstacles. It achieves a maximum effective point cloud distance of 200 meters while reducing power consumption by 55%, serving as a solid line of defense for driving safety. Additionally, all Xiaomi YU7 models are equipped with a 4D mmWave radar. Compared to 3D mmWave radars, it adds height information, significantly enhancing resolution and detection range, with a maximum effective point cloud distance of 200 meters for vehicles and 100 meters for pedestrians. For example, when following another vehicle, if the car ahead brakes suddenly, the ADAS system can enhance its warning alerts; during adverse weather conditions like rain or fog, the 4D mmWave radar can better perceive traffic situations that are difficult to see with the naked eye. Furthermore, the Xiaomi YU7 is equipped with 11 HD cameras across the vehicle, including 7 ultra-transparent anti-glare cameras. These cameras use ALD coating technology on the lenses and COB packaging processes for the modules to reduce internal light reflection, increase light transmittance, achieve clearer and more transparent image quality, and effectively suppress visual interference caused by backlighting and glare.

In addition, the Xiaomi YU7 has undergone a major upgrade in its ADAS computing chip, featuring the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor™ automotive computing platform. With powerful computing power of 700 TOPS, it better supports the integration of large AI models into the vehicle, bringing an improved assisted driving experience.
