What improvements do the standard 4D millimeter-wave radar and ALD coating technology on all Xiaomi YU7 models bring to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)?
The 4D millimeter-wave radar adds height information compared to previous 3D millimeter-wave radars, significantly enhancing resolution and identification distance. It can identify vehicles up to 200 meters away or pedestrians up to 100 meters away. In adverse weather conditions like rain and fog, even when human visibility is very low, the 4D millimeter-wave radar can identify traffic conditions that are unclear to the naked eye, improving the ADAS performance of the vehicle in adverse weather.
Glare interference has always been a challenge for ADAS imaging systems, affecting target identification and leading to misjudgments. The Xiaomi YU7 is equipped with 11 HD cameras across the vehicle, 7 of which are ultra-transparent anti-glare cameras. Their lenses use ALD coating technology to reduce light reflection inside the lens, increase light transmittance, and improve overall image clarity and transparency. This also effectively suppresses daytime backlighting or nighttime high beams from rear vehicles, reducing visual interference caused by ghosting and glare from strong light sources.
