I previously saw in the MIIT announcement that the Xiaomi YU7 is equipped with 245mm wide tires for its 19-inch wheels. Why was this choice made?
The Xiaomi YU7 will offer a variety of tire options to meet users' different performance and range needs. After multiple rounds of testing and tuning, we have paired the 19-inch and 20-inch wheels with 245mm wide tires. The 19-inch tires (245/55R19) will help the Xiaomi YU7 Standard Edition achieve a maximum CLTC range of 835km. Meanwhile, the 55 aspect ratio means it has a relatively thicker sidewall compared to vehicles in the same class, fully balancing ride comfort while ensuring range performance.
If you have higher requirements for the vehicle's sporty performance, you can also opt for the 275mm rear wide tires, which significantly enhance grip, handling, and stability, achieving a shortest 100-0km/h braking distance of just 33.9m. It also provides a more sporty visual appeal and a steadier stance, adding high-performance styling elements to the vehicle.
