By industry convention, all hot-formed steels with a strength of 500MPa or higher are considered boron steel. The Xiaomi YU7 not only uses boron steel in its body materials but also boasts body material strengths that are at the forefront of the industry. The Xiaomi YU7 applies hot-formed steels of different strengths, including 1500MPa, 2000MPa, and 2200MPa. Among these, 2200MPa is the highest strength hot-formed steel currently mass-produced in the industry. It is applied to the four-door anti-collision beams, and the A/B pillars also feature embedded "2200MPa Xiaomi Super Strong Steel" hot-expansion tubes, forming an "embedded roll cage" to enhance safety in severe conditions such as side impacts and rollovers.
