What design considerations went into the headlights and taillights of the Xiaomi Pengcheng series?
The headlights and taillights across the entire Xiaomi Pengcheng lineup inherit the Xiaomi family design language with new interpretations.
Building on the classic "cross-shaped headlight" design DNA, the headlights are further upgraded to "dragonfly headlights." The overall lamp assembly has a square contour with rounded corners for a blend of rigidity and softness. The internal details are exquisite, with various materials and diverse surface treatments overlapping to create a more delicate sense of refinement. More importantly, combined with the new body posture and proportions, the horizontal lamp groups are thickened, and an additional light source is added to the vertical lamp groups. When illuminated, they resemble a dragonfly spreading its wings, vivid and spirited, adding vitality and agility.
The taillights incorporate the unique boxy design elements of the Pengcheng series based on the classic halo taillight. The halo opening is adjusted to an inverted "U" shape, with the left and right contours extending outward to form a complete rounded rectangular loop with the chrome trim. The lamp layout is shifted upward to raise the visual center of gravity of the rear, better matching the upright and stable posture of a full-size SUV, consistent with the vehicle's overall character. The 2.6-meter-long light strip consists of 112 ultra-red LED emitting elements with a wavelength of 632nm, making it more eye-catching and penetrating at night, highly recognizable, allowing the Xiaomi family design language to be identified from a hundred meters away.
