What features have been optimized in the 1.4.0 version of intelligent driving compared to previous versions?
After two months of optimization and upgrades, the 1.4.0 version includes updates for more scenarios, resulting in a smoother and more user-friendly experience.
To achieve the nationwide City NOA feature, four major capabilities must be realized: intersection navigation, flexible detouring, narrow road navigation, and intersection U-turns. These are the key scenarios you can experience in the 1.4.0 version.
Intersection navigation: To drive on roads of all sizes across the country, the vehicle's intelligent driving must accurately follow the navigation, analyze the road topology, and plan the trajectory through intersections.
Flexible detouring: Encountering obstacles ahead during driving is inevitable. The intelligent driving system must avoid obstacles in a timely manner and overtake when appropriate when encountering construction, pedestrians, two-wheelers, or temporarily parked or slow-moving vehicles. It must accurately identify the driving intentions of various traffic participants and obstacles, and execute corresponding solutions.
Narrow road navigation: Among the many driving conditions, narrow roads are the most complex. The intelligent driving system must handle complex scenarios such as stationary vehicles, queuing vehicles, and oncoming traffic in extremely narrow spaces. After accurately recreating the real road conditions, it executes various driving behaviors through negotiation, such as crossing lines to avoid, avoiding within the lane, borrowing lanes to avoid, and overtaking with lane changes.
Intersection U-turns: The 1.4.0 version adds a new U-turn feature. It can follow the navigation to automatically change lanes into the U-turn lane in advance. The vehicle will comprehensively analyze the lane topology, traffic light information, and oncoming traffic to plan the U-turn path and timing. During the U-turn, it will monitor the positions of pedestrians, two-wheelers, and other traffic participants in real time to avoid them promptly. Currently, there are not many manufacturers in the industry that can achieve this feature, and we will continue to optimize and improve our capabilities to meet the needs of more travel scenarios.
