What is the specific function of the CDC® continuously variable damping shock absorbers?

Official answer

Compared to conventional shock absorbers, the CDC® continuously variable damping shock absorbers equipped on the new-generation SU7 not only have a wider damping force adjustment range but can also change the shock absorber firmness (damping force) in real time, continuously, and steplessly based on road bumps and the driver's operational signals. The adjustment speed reaches the millisecond level, precisely matching road conditions and driving needs;

During acceleration/braking conditions, it can adjust the damping force of the front and rear axle shock absorbers through vehicle speed and accelerator/brake pedal signals, suppressing body pitch during acceleration and braking;

During steering conditions, it can adjust the damping force of the left and right shock absorbers through vehicle speed and steering wheel speed/angle signals, reducing the body roll rate and enhancing handling stability and driving confidence;

Thanks to the CDC® continuously variable damping shock absorbers, the new-generation SU7 achieves a suspension that is "both firm and supple." It can efficiently filter out road bumps while firmly stabilizing the body posture, achieving a superior balance between comfort and handling.
