What are the benefits to my daily driving from the 100km/h continuous 40-stop test performed by the new-generation SU7 Max?
The test vehicle for this event was a "new-generation SU7 Max production car" (see the attached image for detailed configuration). It continuously accelerated from a standstill to 100km/h and immediately applied full braking force to a complete stop, repeating this uninterrupted test 40 times (making U-turns back and forth on a closed course), all without enabling "Enhanced Energy Recovery." Such rigorous conditions, which far exceed daily driving scenarios, fully prove the new-generation SU7 Max's stronger braking safety capabilities and its ability to maintain stable braking deceleration even after continuous aggressive braking, providing higher redundancy for driving safety;
The new-generation SU7 Max is equipped with Brembo® front four-piston fixed calipers, low-metallic brake pads, and front cross-drilled ventilated discs. Among these, the area of the front low-metallic brake pads has been increased by 37.8%, significantly raising thermal capacity and effectively enhancing resistance to heat fade. The large-area brake discs and Brembo® front four-piston fixed calipers also have greater thermal capacity, which, combined with the brake system's cooling air ducts, can further delay the onset of brake fade;
When driving under aggressive conditions such as on a track, we recommend entering "Master Mode" and manually enabling the "Enhanced Energy Recovery" function. This allows the vehicle to fully utilize the braking power of energy recovery, delaying the occurrence of brake fade;
In addition, if you have needs for aggressive driving such as track days, we recommend replacing the standard setup with a high-performance braking kit (including high-performance brake pads and high-boiling-point brake fluid) in advance. This not only provides stronger resistance to brake fade but also further improves braking force and pedal feel, making it more suitable for advanced driving. Please note that a high-performance braking kit will generate a certain amount of noise and dust during daily driving, so we advise against using it for everyday commutes.
This test was conducted in a professional closed facility, and we do not recommend imitating it. Before attempting aggressive driving, please fully understand the performance boundaries of the product and master professional driving knowledge to ensure the safety of both driver and vehicle. Do not rashly challenge extreme driving conditions while the vehicle is in its original factory state.
