The battery pack of the new-generation Xiaomi SU7 adopts a multi-layer physical protection structure, which can effectively resist collision forces and reduce the risk of cells being damaged by compression during a collision.

For side impacts, the battery pack mainly has a three-layer protection structure:

  • First, the top of the battery pack is equipped with two 2000MPa floor cross beams and two 1500MPa seat cross beams, providing lateral support for the battery pack and reducing the risk of deformation caused by collisions;
  • Second, the side of the battery pack is also equipped with extruded aluminum side frames, providing collision buffer space for the battery pack when facing side impacts;
  • On the outermost side of the battery pack, the side of the car body adopts multi-cavity ultra-wide aluminum sill beams. Its nine-grid multi-cavity structure and ultra-wide dimensions can withstand greater collision forces, reducing the risk of damage to the battery pack.
