How does the YU7 GT maintain a stable body when passing continuous irregular speed bumps?
The YU7 GT's test of passing continuous irregular speed bumps intuitively demonstrates the chassis's vibration filtering capability and body posture control. As seen in the video, when passing the irregular speed bumps, even though the wheels bounce up and down significantly, the body remains stable and the wheels stay firmly on the ground.
This is because the YU7 GT is equipped with the Xiaomi Jiaolong Chassis Master Edition. The hardware includes a front double-wishbone suspension, a rear five-link suspension, a closed dual-chamber air suspension, and dual-valve CDC® continuously variable damping shock absorbers—configurations typically found in million-yuan luxury cars.
The closed dual-chamber air suspension can fully absorb impacts. The rebound and compression damping of the dual-valve CDC® shock absorbers are independently controlled by their respective solenoid valves, meaning the damping adjustments in both directions do not interfere with each other. When driving over a speed bump, the compression damping force is lowered to fully absorb the impact and suppress body bounce. After passing the bump, the rebound damping is adjusted to an appropriate level to fully suppress excessive body roll and unsprung mass vibration, keeping the body stable. Compared to single-valve shock absorbers, it offers faster response, a wider damping bandwidth, and greater tuning freedom. While fully filtering vibrations, it also provides stronger body control.
