In the YU7 GT range test from Shanghai to Qiandao Lake, the city energy consumption was only 11.4 kWh/100 km. How was such a low figure achieved?
Out of the total 503.7 km in this test, 157.3 km were "lake-loop and city sections", with a total driving time of 3 hours and 22 minutes, an average speed of 47 km/h, and an average energy consumption of 11.4 kWh per 100 km. The test simulated daily commuting scenarios and is somewhat representative. However, based on differences in weather, road conditions, vehicle configuration and settings, driving habits, and vehicle load, energy consumption performance will vary. For daily use, you can refer to the settings in the video.
To enable the YU7 GT to balance "1,000 horsepower" and "long range", extensive energy consumption optimizations were made across the entire vehicle, including the three-electric system, thermal management, tires, and low friction, providing excellent range performance whether for daily commuting or long-distance travel.
In terms of the electric drive, the YU7 GT's front motor is equipped with an intelligent disconnect mechanism. In Eco Mode, the front motor and half-shaft can be completely decoupled, reducing drag losses and effectively improving range. In this mode, the YU7 GT is driven by the Xiaomi HyperEngine V8s EVO on the rear axle, which not only has a higher speed and stronger performance but also excellent energy efficiency. The V8s EVO uses a self-developed silicon carbide power module, increasing power by 5.9%, and is upgraded with thinner 0.15 mm stator and rotor silicon steel sheets, further increasing motor efficiency to 98.38%, balancing outstanding performance and energy consumption.
At the same time, thermal management capabilities have been upgraded to manage air conditioning energy consumption more precisely while ensuring comfort, saving energy wherever possible. Energy optimization was also considered in small details like tires and brake calipers. For example, the YU7 GT can be equipped with "21-inch low-drag wheels" and "long-range tires", and features "low-drag brake calipers", effectively reducing the burden of various resistances on energy consumption.
We welcome YU7 GT owners to share their energy consumption performance and driving experiences with us.
