Why do both the YU7 Standard Edition and YU7 GT need to undergo the cross-axle test?
In real-world daily driving scenarios, we encounter not only smooth paved roads but also situations like rainy or snowy days, wet and slippery ramps, starting on muddy roads, and wheel slip or suspension caused by uneven terrain. All of these severely test the vehicle's power distribution and recovery capability.
The recovery capability test brings these complex road conditions into the proving ground to verify whether the vehicle can reduce wheel spin, pass through smoothly, and complete the recovery.
When encountering such road conditions, it is recommended to set the YU7 GT to Off-Road Assist mode. The vehicle's suspension will raise to its highest level. At the same time, enable the "Vehicle Settings - Safety - Recovery Start" option for optimal all-wheel-drive traction performance. The YU7 GT is equipped with an eLSD electronic limited-slip differential, which can quickly identify wheel slip and lock the differential, transferring torque to the wheels with grip to smoothly recover.
The YU7 Standard Edition has a ground clearance of 172mm. Although the pure rear-wheel-drive version does not have an eLSD, it can still successfully pass the cross-axle test through precise wheel slip control calibration.
