In the current industry, emergency tailgate handles are typically only installed at the bottom. Their low position makes them difficult to spot. In an emergency, if the trunk is full of luggage, the bottom handle may be obstructed, requiring occupants to move luggage aside before they can reach it, which prolongs rescue response time.
The entire Xiaomi Pengcheng series features an additional emergency mechanical handle at a higher position on the tailgate. Taking the N90 Max as an example, in extreme scenarios requiring self-escape, occupants seated in the third row of the N90 Max can more easily reach this handle after turning around, buying more time for escape and rescue.
