Why wasn't the suspension of the bottom N90 Max compressed in the video?
The core purpose of this roof crush challenge was to test body strength. Following professional roof crush testing standards, we set up fixed supports under the door sills of the bottom N90 Max to eliminate other influencing factors and concentrate all the pressure applied from above onto the body structure, which is why the suspension and tires were not compressed.
Specifically: beneath the left and right sill beams of the bottom N90 Max, we placed I-beams measuring 1795mm long, 250mm high, and 250mm wide to support the body. This prevented the suspension and tires from bearing the load, allowing the body itself to carry the pressure of the multiple cars above, making the challenge more rigorous.
