Users who experienced track driving stated that changes in braking performance are not reflected in the brake pedal feel. Why is it designed this way?

We once again sincerely and earnestly remind everyone that the Xiaomi SU7 is a civilian vehicle, not designed for tracks. Personnel without professional training and vehicles without modifications should absolutely not attempt track driving.

The Xiaomi SU7 adopts the globally first Bosch DPB+ESP10 fully decoupled braking system. There is no mechanical connection between the brake pedal and the hydraulic braking system; the brake pedal is merely an operating device with fixed stroke and feedback force. However, if the braking system performance is limited, the vehicle will pop up prompts on the central control screen to remind the driver to pay attention to driving safety.

In fact, fully decoupled braking systems are not "first created" by Xiaomi; they have been widely used in various models, including some top-tier fuel high-performance cars. The advantages of the globally first Bosch DPB+ESP10 system mainly include the following four points:

Compared to traditional mechanical vacuum braking systems, the DPB fully decoupled braking system can achieve faster pressure build-up speed, effectively shortening braking distance, contributing to the excellent performance of the Xiaomi SU7 Max edition's 100km/h-0 braking distance of 33.3m.

The design of dual pressure-building modules for DPB and ESP can serve as redundancy for each other. Combined with kinetic energy recovery, it achieves quadruple braking redundancy functions, maximizing the elimination of brake failure risks, meeting L4-level autonomous driving safety redundancy, and laying the foundation for future upgrades of assisted driving systems;

Under extreme conditions (such as emergency braking), the DPB fully decoupled braking system does not transmit fluctuations in pedal feedback force caused by ABS operation or master cylinder pressure fluctuations, providing drivers with stronger braking confidence and ensuring safety;

The DPB fully decoupled braking system can more effectively combine motor kinetic energy recovery and mechanical hydraulic braking. In daily driving, even if kinetic energy recovery is turned off, when the driver steps on the brake pedal, the vehicle still prioritizes using kinetic energy recovery for deceleration, effectively improving the vehicle's range.

We will further improve the safety reminders when braking system performance is limited, making them more conspicuous and clearer.
